Prayer for My Friend's Business

Dear Lord, I pray for peace and protection on my friend's home-based business as well as her extended family.  At this time, one of her family members is making it difficult for them and I pray that you keep them safe and at peace.  I pray that they are protected from harm in all ways, and their business continue to flourish as they try to support themselves on their own.

Prayer for the Haskins Family

Dear Lord, I pray that you will send the Holy Spirit to dwell and comfort the Haskins family at this time of tragedy.  You called their precious son home to you, where he is safe.  But in his place, Satan has moved in under the guise of maliciousness, hate, and cruelty.  I pray that you comfort Jill and Shane, and keep them in your arms, where they will find peace and comfort.  Send them the tools, people and support they need to get through this difficult time.  I pray for the soul of baby Joshua, and the broken hearts of his family.

Prayer for Papa Sheppard's Job Perspective

Dear Lord, I pray for my beloved husband.  I pray for strength and courage as he faces his work every day.  I pray that you give him the peace of mind and courage that he needs to be able to get himself a new job in a place that is better managed and he can work happily.  I pray for his health and persistance.

Prayer for My Sister-in-Law's Pregnancies

Dear Lord, I pray that both of my sister-in-laws have safe, healthy, easy pregnancies, surrounded by loving help from friends and family.  I pray that their labours are swift, easy and uncomplicated and that their babies are born healthy and strong.

Prayer for Your Work in Me

Dear Lord, Thank you for accepting me as Your daughter.  Thank you for working on me as a potter on clay.  I pray that you continue to mould me and form me into the woman, wife and mother you desire me to be.  Teach me to submit lovingly to my husband and help me honor and respect him and lovingly let him lead.

Dear Heavenly Father

Everyone needs prayer, and everyone needs to learn to pray. I myself am going through fascinating cchanges everyday, As I learn from God who and what He expects me to be. So I thought it only right to have a place to list those prayers so that I might be able to keep track of them.

I attend a Catholic church with Papa Sheppard, but am more Anabaptist in my thinking; in other words, I believe in a literal translation of the Bible. Having said that, I don't believe God's Word ended when the Bible endes, because I believe God is limitless. When John died, the Holy Spirit lived on. Therefore, I enjoy the teachings and messages received by later-day prophets such as St. Francis of Assisi, Mother Theresa, Shane Claiborne, Padre Pio, and many others.

And so here you will find prayers for our friends, family, celebrities, countries, strangers, and anyone else I come across. You will also hear stories of great Christians, read old prayers and my thoughts on faith.

I hope you enjoy this blog and it gives you a sense of peace and helps guide your own faith.
